Job Description
The Warner Bros. Studio Operations Health & Safety Intern will assist the Department of Safety & Environmental Affairs (S&EA) in various occupational health, safety, and environmental matters. This internship will provide hands-on experience in ensuring compliance with industry safety standards and regulations across Warner Bros. Studio’s operations.
Responsibilities may include:
- Scanning and organizing historical documents into a Central Locations Database
- Managing equipment inventory and asset management system for fall protection equipment
- Assisting in updating health & safety documents, programs, policies, and best practices
- Supporting the development of a departmental safety officer program
- Contributing to the creation of training course videos, PowerPoints, and documentation for the Learning Management System
- Assisting in the organization and development of the hazardous communication program, including gathering safety data sheets
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, environmental health & safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of Cal/OSHA or OSHA safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with numerous team members
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint (preferred)
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery
Duration and Location
- Duration: 11 weeks (Summer 2024)
- Location: Burbank, CA
- Work Schedule: 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity
Compensation
Warner Bros. Discovery offers a competitive hourly wage for its internship program. The pay rate is $19 per hour USD for undergraduate interns and $25 per hour USD for graduate-level interns.
