Job Description:
The Information Technology Intern at Ingersoll Rand will work under the guidance of the Manager, Observability, Process, and Tools. The IT Service Management team oversees IT delivery and manages the ServiceNow application, a leading IT Service Management tool. This 3-month internship offers students studying Management Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields exposure to various assignments in IT Service Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, Supplier Management, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to support IT delivery and maintain ServiceNow application.
- Assist in various IT management tasks including project management, business analysis, and infrastructure management.
- Engage in supplier management activities.
- Contribute to application management efforts.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
- Pursuing a BS/BA in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in campus organizations, sports teams, or work projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, and changing environment.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Communication, Computer Engineering, Critical Thinking, Customer-Focused Service, Networking, and Technical Support.
Duration and Location:
- 3-month on-site internship located in Davidson, NC.
