About the Scholarship:
The European Forum Alpbach (EFA) Scholarship Programme offers an exceptional opportunity for young talents worldwide to participate in a transformative event held annually in Alpbach village. Participants engage in scientific, competence-based, and artistic seminars, alongside high-level conferences and social activities. The programme awards approximately 350 scholarships to first-time participants, providing a unique two-week experience filled with inspiring encounters and thought-provoking content.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to students, young professionals, and change-makers from all countries and disciplines.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age (or between 18 and 35 for citizens of the Global South).
- Fluent English language skills are required (minimum level B2 proficiency).
- All applicants must be available for a minimum of eleven days, including Seminar Days and Europe in the World Days.
- Candidates from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, ethnic or religious minorities, LGBTQIA+ community members, people with disabilities, refugees, or displaced persons are encouraged to apply.
Application Deadline:
Application for the 2024 scholarship programme is open until 28 March, 2 pm GMT+1.
How to Apply:
Interested applicants can apply via the EFA’s application portal, which opens from 5 to 28 March 2024. Alternatively, applicants can apply through one of the Forum Alpbach Network (FAN) alumni clubs. Applicants should check for regional affiliations with FAN clubs offering scholarships. If no club is available in their region, they can apply directly via the EFA.
