Job Description
As a Field Engineer Intern at PCL’s office, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the construction team. Responsibilities include assisting Field/Project Engineers, conducting safety and quality audits, interpreting drawings and specifications, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and maintaining project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
- Conduct safety and quality audits.
- Read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Log submittals, process RFI’s, and prepare reports.
- Assist with surveying and project layout.
- Maintain and update field drawings, equipment, and records.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
- Attend project meetings and prepare relevant documents.
- Assist with estimating and soliciting subcontractors/suppliers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering.
- Interest in pursuing a career in construction management or related fields.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to relocate temporarily.
- Ability to pass a substance abuse test.
Duration and Location
- Duration: Full-time internship starting May 13, 2024.
- Location: Orlando, Jacksonville, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
