Apply Now For The OTA Education General Scholarship for Students in Ontario

APPLY HERE | Deadline: July 15th

The OTA Education Foundation of Canada offers financial awards to Ontario students enrolled full-time in recognized programs at accredited publicly-funded Canadian universities and colleges. The scholarships are primarily funded from corporate donations from the Ontario trucking industry, which is why students are required to submit an essay about the trucking industry as part of the application process. Students can apply for OTA Education Foundation Scholarships for each year of enrollment at a post-secondary institution, as long as all the eligibility requirements continue to be met.

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Canada

  • Be enrolled full-time in a public Canadian university or college program that is a minimum of 2 years in length, leading to a diploma or degree
  • Be the child of at least one parent who works in the Ontario trucking industry

Scholarship Award Amounts

  • George P. Ledson Scholarship for First-Year University Student (one awarded): $1,500
  • C.V. Hoar Scholarship for First-Year College Student (one awarded): $1,000
