– Requirements
- Be in good standing with a faith or belief community represented in the Network for Pastoral, Spiritual & Religious Care in Healthcare (NPSRCH).
- Relevant training as a faith leader or similar qualification in the NPSRCH tradition.
- Basic understanding of contemporary healthcare issues and cultural/multi-faith dynamics in hospital settings.
- Proven experience in ministry, hospital chaplaincy, or a similar pastoral role.
- Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and be on-call as needed.
– Salary Details In line with the NHS 2024/2025 pay scale, adjustments based on job start date.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll work within a committed, multi-faith chaplaincy team to provide spiritual and pastoral care to a culturally rich community. Guided by empathy and acceptance, you will support patients, families, and staff across a range of backgrounds and beliefs. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pastoral, spiritual, and religious care to patients, families, and staff.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-faith team to serve a diverse hospital community.
- Support the hospital’s infection control measures, adhering to all relevant policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance chaplaincy skills.
- Serve on-call shifts, including weekends and bank holidays as needed.
