Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 qualification/experience or minimum of 4 GCSEs (grades A*-C/9-4) including English, or equivalent.
  • Previous customer care/receptionist experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

About the Role

The Respiratory Support Unit is looking for a part-time Ward Clerk to join their team. This role is perfect if you are looking for a position where you can help keep things running smoothly, making a real difference for patients and the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive clerical support to the ward team.
  • Facilitating smooth patient flow by liaising with other wards, departments, and external bodies.
  • Managing administrative tasks, including telephone inquiries, record keeping, and scheduling.
  • Ensuring patient records and information are readily available.
  • Contributing to ward housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
  • Providing training to other ward staff about your role (as needed).
