About the Role:

As a Healthcare Assistant in Gastroenterology, you’ll be right at the heart of patient care. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out instructions from the Registered Nurse, who is in charge of care delivery.
  • Deliver care according to NNUH’s approved tasks for Healthcare Assistants.
  • Report any patient concerns or changes in their condition to the Registered Nurse.
  • Respond effectively to clinical emergencies, ensuring patients receive proper care.
  • Assist with patient admissions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
  • Provide top-quality, personalized nursing care.
  • Keep detailed records of all care provided, signed off by a Registered Nurse, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Help prepare patients and equipment for procedures as instructed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical area.
  • Demonstrate NNUH’s PRIDE values (People-focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence) in your work.
