Requirements:

Experience in care is a plus, but not a must-have. If you have a caring nature and are keen to learn, they want to hear from you. Your fresh perspective and willingness to learn will be highly valued at DPT. They look forward to supporting you in achieving the Care Certificate if you haven’t already gotten it!

  • Basic education is essential.
  • Within 3 months of starting, you’ll be supported to earn your Care Certificate (if you don’t have it already).
  • Having an NVQ Level 3 or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care would be great (but it’s not essential).
  • Experience working with people in a caring role or a similar role within mental health would be valuable.
  • A good grasp of safeguarding principles is important.
  • Basic IT skills are needed.
  • Great communication and listening skills are key.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people who have complex mental health needs. You’ll be working in a truly modern and innovative setting, designed to be a center of excellence. It’s not just about tasks; it’s about building relationships and empowering individuals to achieve their goals. You’ll be part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, working together to support the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual wellbeing of the people in their care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the multi-disciplinary team in delivering person-centered care and treatment.
  • Support individuals with their social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Carry out practical procedures under the supervision of trained nursing staff.
  • Work flexibly on a 24/7 shift basis.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive environment.
