About the Role:
As a Healthcare Support Worker on SDEC, you’ll be at the forefront of patient care. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, rotating between medical and surgical triage areas. This is a chance to broaden your skills and experience a variety of clinical settings, including Urology, Respiratory, ENT, and Orthopedic clinics. You’ll be conducting initial patient assessments (taking blood pressure, performing venepuncture, cannulation, and ECGs), ensuring the cleanliness of the unit, and helping the team streamline patient flow. Your contribution will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit, making a real difference in patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic nursing care and housekeeping duties.
- Rotate between medical, surgical, and clinic settings.
- Perform initial patient assessments.
- Assist with clinical procedures (venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs).
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
