About the Role:

As a Healthcare Support Worker in SDEC, you’ll play a vital role in patient care. You’ll be working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, rotating between medical and surgical triage areas, and gaining exposure to various specialties. You’ll be performing initial patient assessments, including taking blood pressure, venepuncture, cannulation, and ECGs. You’ll also help ensure the cleanliness and safety of the unit, contributing to smooth patient flow. This is a chance to develop essential clinical skills, work alongside a supportive team, and have a real impact on patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic nursing care and housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Rotate through medical and surgical triage, as well as specialty clinics.
  • Perform initial patient assessments, using your clinical skills to gather vital information.
  • Contribute to developing the unit and improving patient flow.
