Position Details:
- Title: SAP iXp Intern – Application Gateway Software Developer
- Location: Vancouver, BC (on-site 3 days per week)
- Start Date: May 6, 2024
- Duration: 8 months
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to building and launching SAP’s next-generation cloud-based Analytics platform.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced culture, utilizing leading-edge technologies such as Cloud, Big Data, Mobile, SAP HANA, and modern Visualization.
- Work within the SAP Analytics Cloud application gateway team, focusing on cloud and networking technologies like Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, SAML SSO, OAuth, and mTLS.
- Enhance testing and observability frameworks, improve core microservices, and advance AI exploration efforts.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 8+ months of prior work experience in developing web applications.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, HTTP, restful APIs, and web microservices.
- Familiarity with cloud native development technologies and experience with AWS, Cloud Foundry, or Azure.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, principles of OO design, web application servers, and databases.
- Strong teamwork, initiative, curiosity, and a positive attitude.
Team Dynamics:
The SAP Analytics Cloud application gateway team comprises 12 engineers specializing in gateways and authentication. They collaborate with various teams, fostering a supportive environment focused on achieving remarkable outcomes.

Salary Range:
The hourly base salary rate for this position ranges from 24 to 40 CAD. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as education, skills, experience, and location.
