Job Description

The CGAI System Engineering Validation Team is expanding its leading position in graphics for the PC market with high-end discrete graphics solutions for a broad range of computing segments. Millions of users today enjoy computing experiences powered by Intel’s leading cores and visual computing IP. They are adding to their portfolio of unmatched capabilities, advancing their strategy to lead in computing and graphics, and ultimately be the driving force of the data revolution. Intel is looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join their System Engineering Validation team, as a System Validation Coop Engineer to validate their next generation of discrete graphics hardware and work with cutting edge IP design technologies.

You Will Help Them With The Following Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans to validate latest Intel GPUs
  • Triage, track and assist in root-causing any potential hardware or software bugs through hands-on lab debug and experimentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, globally located silicon, board design, and thermal mechanical teams to drive issues to closure to meet aggressive schedules
  • Develop automation infrastructure and implement test cases in Python
  • Set up and maintain test platforms and lab equipment
  • Continuously look for ways to innovate and improve Intel’s products and/or processes

Qualifications

Minimum Skills And Qualifications That Will Get You Noticed

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM degree
  • Candidate must also have 3+ months of educational or work experience with computer architecture or computer organization, experience with Lab equipment, and experience with Windows drivers, operating systems, or Linux operating systems and windows command line

Preferred Skills and Qualifications that will make you stand out above the crowd:

  • Discrete graphics add-in cards or mobile discrete graphics systems
  • Computer enthusiasts and excellent knowledge of current leading PC technology
  • Familiar with PC x86 architecture and excellent system level knowledge including: CPU processor, multimedia, memory, PCIe, display technologies, power management, 3D graphics
  • Experience in building your own PC and computer hardware
  • Programming skills in Python or similar languages
