Eligibility Criteria:
- Level of Study: Associate, Bachelor, Co-op, Honours, Online
- Year of Study: Entering or in the first year
- Citizenship: Canada
- Status in Canada: Permanent Resident
- Schools Attended: Any School
- Heritage: Aboriginal, First Nation, Indigenous
- School of Study: Western University
- Field of Study: Any Field of Study
Scholarship Details:
- Amount: $50,000
- Number of Awards: 5
- Renewable: Yes, for 3 years
- Recipients:
- Five Indigenous undergraduate students (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) studying full-time at Western’s main campus.
- Three scholarships for students applying from Canadian high schools.
- Two scholarships for Indigenous students applying from a postsecondary institution.
- Selection Criteria:
- Outstanding academic excellence.
- Meaningful and impactful contributions to Indigenous communities (on and off reserve, as well as urban settings).
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Award Distribution:
- Two awards at $50,000 each for Indigenous students applying from Canadian high schools:
- $20,000 for year one.
- $10,000 for years two to four (based on ongoing registration).
- One award at $50,000 for an Indigenous student applying from a postsecondary institution:
- $20,000 for year one.
- $10,000 for years two to four (based on ongoing registration).
- Two awards at $50,000 each for Indigenous students applying from Canadian high schools:
