Requirements:

DBTH is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Clinical Typist/Administrator to join their Obstetrics and Gynaecology team. A good understanding of medical terminology and prior clerical experience are preferred. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing efficient administrative support, they’d love to hear from you!   • Previous clerical/administrative experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word is a must.
  • A good understanding of medical terminology is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, including the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, is key.
  • The ability to prioritize your workload, work independently, and exercise good judgment is important.

Salary Details:

£23,615 a year Per Annum Pro Rata

About the Role:

As a Clinical Typist/Administrator, you’ll be providing vital support to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology team. You’ll be working closely with the Medical Secretary, ensuring efficient administrative management of the patient pathway. Your primary responsibilities will include audio typing clinical correspondence using Medisec software, filing documents, maintaining accurate records, and providing general administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy and dynamic department, making a real difference in patient care.

  • Prioritize clinical correspondence based on urgency.
  • File correspondence and investigation results.
  • Record clinical events accurately.
