Job Description:
Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a dynamic candidate to join their team as an Operational Technology intern for the Engineering Department. This internship opportunity, based in Columbia City, IN, is available for the summer with the potential for extension. Responsibilities include configuring and installing networking equipment, setting up network monitoring systems, ensuring backup of network configurations, and assisting in teaching basic troubleshooting skills to support staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Network Engineering, Network Management, or Cyber Security with completed sophomore year
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic networking principles
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and stay organized
- Familiarity with Windows-based security practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with people from all levels and backgrounds
