Job Description:
Egan Company is seeking motivated students for their IT Systems Support Internship as part of the Information Technology team. This 12-week program offers real-world experience and includes engaging events tailored for interns, such as a jobsite ride along and resume review workshop. The intern will work alongside professionals in the industry, supporting Egan’s Champlin office and remote work-sites.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with completion of intern-lead projects for the summer.
- Manage, research, diagnose, and respond to incoming help desk requests.
- Support remote sites in the Twin Cities area with items such as PCs, VMware, Horizon View Clients, Servers, and Networking.
- Maintain company cell phones.
- Assist with server upgrades and maintenance.
- Manage and monitor Meraki switches.
- Visit jobsites and customer sites regularly.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a two-year IT-related degree program or two-year related degree in computer networking.
- Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, Internet, and PC hardware, TCP/IP, and networking preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Working Environment:
Performance of duties mainly in the office with regular visits to job sites to support field personnel as needed.
