Job Description
The Travel Platform team at SAP Concur is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated software developer intern to contribute to the development of their next-generation travel platform. This role will involve assisting in the creation of a new travel admin configuration platform, which will be utilized by all clients with administrative roles to configure various features across the SAP Concur site.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
- Utilize agile methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Contribute to front-end and back-end development tasks.
- Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Work closely with senior team members to gain insights and grow professionally.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Proficiency in software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum.
- Strong programming skills with object-oriented languages like Java.
- Experience in front-end development languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- Demonstrated flexibility in working with global teams across various time zones.
- Eagerness to learn from experienced team members and contribute to meaningful projects.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React+Redux) and Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Git and JIRA.
- Knowledge of databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of UI unit and/or end-to-end testing methodologies.
Educational Requirements
Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
