Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the care sector – Your experience in caring for others demonstrates your compassion and dedication.
  • (Desirable) Mental health experience – Experience in mental health is a plus, showing your commitment to this field.
  • Care Certificate (achievable within the first 12 weeks) – This certification is essential for providing safe and effective care.

About the Role:

Make a real difference in people’s lives as a Community Clinical Support Worker within the West Suffolk Dementia Intensive Support Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a passionate multi-disciplinary team dedicated to supporting individuals with dementia and their carers in the comfort of their homes. Imagine working directly with individuals, building trust, and providing short-term support to maintain their independence, prevent hospital admissions, and enable them to remain in familiar surroundings. Under the guidance of practitioners, you’ll manage your own workload, working autonomously in the community, exploring and understanding individual needs and risks. You’ll trial and implement care plans, connect people with community resources, and empower family members with the knowledge and skills they need. Your flexibility, adaptability, and keen observation skills will be essential in this rewarding role.
